DESCRIPTION:We are now in the season of Lent. It is a time for self-examin
 ation\, penitence\, self-denial\, study\, alms-giving\, all in preparation
  for Easter.  It lasts for forty days and forty nights reminding us of Jes
 us' time spent in the wilderness\, being tested by Satan.\n\nIf through po
 or health or infirmity you are unable to attend a service in Church\, you 
 are warmly invited to join in with our Rector\, The Revd Mark Woodrow\, in
  an act of Spiritual Communion from your own home\, as he celebrates Holy 
 Communion from the Vicarage.\n\nThe readings for today are Genesis 2:15-17
 \; 3:1-7\,  Romans 5:12-19\, and Matthew 4:1-11.\n\nThe hymns for today ar
 e\, Forty days and forty nights\, and\, Just as I am\, without one plea.\n
