DESCRIPTION:Our services in our churches continue as normal\, however\, we
  recognise that through ill health\, frailty\, or infirmity\, not everyone
  is able to join us every week. Therefore\, if you are unable to attend in
  person\, you are warmly invited to join in with our Rector\, The Revd Mar
 k Woodrow\, who is joined by our new Curate\, The Revd Dr Karen Smith\, as
  he celebrates Holy Communion from the Vicarage. \n\nThis week we celebrat
 e the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus  which is told in the gospels 
 of Matthew\, Mark and Luke\, and Peter refers to it in his Second Epistle.
  Each time\, it is made clear that God’s salvation is for all\, and Chri
 st is the one who brings that salvation. The testimony of the law and the 
 prophets to Jesus are given by the presence of Moses and Elijah\, and the 
 event also pre-figures the resurrection\, giving a foretaste of the life o
 f glory.\n\nThe readings for today are Daniel 7:9\,10\,13\,14\, 2 Peter 1:
 16-19\, and Luke 9:28-36.\n\nThe hymns for today are\, Christ is the world
 's true light\, and\, Be still\, for the presence of the Lord.\n\nA servic
