DESCRIPTION:Along with other local groups\, the Friends of St Mary’s\nHa
 lesworth (FOSM) will be celebrating Halesworth Heritage\nDay on Saturday 7
 th September\, from 10am to 4pm in St\nMary’s church\, Halesworth.\nThe 
 national theme this year is “Routes\, Networks and\nConnection”.\nPhot
 ography displays from Bungay High School and Beccles\nCamera Club will be 
 in church\, with another display\, from\nHalesworth Camera Club\, in the f
 ormer fishmonger’s shop in\nthe Market Place. These displays will follow
  the national\ntheme for their work.\nIn St Mary’s\, FOSM will exemplify
  the connections and\nnetworking in our local community through all-day\nd
 emonstrations and teaching of tower bellringing\, in part\nusing the on-lo
 an mini-ring which shows at ground level how\nthe bells work\; visits up t
 he bell tower\; a\ndisplay about the eminent local Hooker family of botani
 sts\; a\nRepair Café session from 10am until noon\, dealing with\nelectri
 cal work\, sewing machines and blade sharpening\; and\n– a new feature t
 his year – a valuer from Clarke and\nSimpson’s Auctioneers\, who will 
 give an opinion and\nvaluation on anything you choose to bring along - our
  own\nversion of the Antiques Roadshow! Even holiday souvenirs will be giv
 en due attention and evaluation\, so don’t be shy.\nThere will be a sugg
 ested donation of £2 per item valued.\nThis event will take place from 1p
 m until 3pm.\nPlease come along and join us for any or all of these.\nRefr
 eshments will be available
