Coronavirus

Update from February 2022 newsletter:

As mandatory restrictions come to an end, the church community faces the challenge of having to set our own guidelines and precautions, and decide for ourselves what the new 'normal' should look like. For your own and other's wellbeing, we encourage you to consider continuing to wear a face mask to worship, maintain good hand hygiene and to stay home (and join us on zoom) if you are unwell. There will be no seating restrictions in church but we will be reserving an area in the south aisle of each church for those who may wish to leave more space between themselves and others. We have no plans to return to the common cup at this point, however, wafers will be intincted with wine before the service to enable communion to be taken in both kinds. As a reminder please do not attend or enter church if you have any of the following symptoms:

a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

Please inform us if you test positive for coronavirus so we can follow up with others that might have come into contact with you in church. You can contact us at [email protected] or telephone the parish office on 0118 9502620
