  the story of God’s love for the world at Christmas.\n\nThe orange repre
 sents the world\nThe fruits or sweets represent God’s creation and the b
 lessings of the seasons\nThe candle represents Jesus\, the light of the wo
 rld bringing hope to those in darkness.\nThe red ribbon round the orange r
 epresents the love of God and the blood of Jesus.\n\nCrib service:\nDuring
  this short service\, children will be encouraged to help tell the Christm
 as story\, by bringing the nativity figures to the crib and arranging them
  around the manger.\n\nThere will be a collection in aid of the Children
 ’s Society – you can read more about the work of the Children’s Soci
 ety and the meaning of the Christingle.
