Church of England Diocese of Truro North Petherwin

7 Aug 2021, 5 a.m.

We invite you to join our planned parish prayer group.

As a participant in the group you will join with others in communal prayer. The subject of these prayers can be many fold, be it for personal needs or concerns, prayers for our church and the wider parish community or prayers asking God to help in solving a crisis of national or international importance - the list is almost endless.

The group will not be totally about prayers. It will also gives us opportunities to meet others and to make new friends.

You can contact me, Ken Potter, by phone or e.mail, with these details given on our 'Get in Touch' page. I look forward to hearing from you.

You may also submit your own prayers to this page, be it for those with ill health or in distress or in great need.

It is easy to enter your prayer. Simply post it in our Get In Touch page, under the heading 'Other' in the drop-down box, and it will appear as soon as possible. If you prefer you can give your prayer to one of our church wardens, Helen or Ray.

First names only will be shown but if you don't want names to be shown at all then just let us know.

Unfortunately the host website does not allow entries by people under sixteen years of age so these have to be entered by a responsible adult.

Your contact details will not be retained.

A prayer for all.

This prayer can be found on our prayer card in St Paternus Parish Church.

"Dear Lord in Heaven, please hear our prayers for those in need, with sickness or in loneliness and please accept our thanks for this place of worship, prayer and reflection, Amen".

A prayer by Verna (surname supplied) based on Luke 2. V 19 .

I Praise you O God - For the beauty of the earth , Looking at the birds of the air - all creatures of the earth -
Let us work together towards Harmony.
The Eagle soars - the worm tunnels - each allowing nature to flourish.
Like Mary, let our heart be a sacred place to savour all we see and hear -
Knowing there is a reason to trust and obey.

A prayer for Emilia.

Please join me in my continuing prayers for my five year old grand daughter Emilia, who is autistic and currently non verbal. Please pray that Jesus will help her to speak and shake off the autistic cloak that surrounds her and that He gives help to all of the many people who are charged with making her better. Please also pray for her parents, Alison and John, in their unwaivering care for their dear little girl and that her younger sister Mollie learns to understand Emilia and joins her parents in giving this care.

A prayer for Eloise.

Please pray for the soul of dear little Eloise who, at just five years of age, died suddenly of a seizure at the very end of July whilst on holiday with her parents, Helen and Nick and her grand parents. That she will be comforted and cared for by the Company of Heaven in a life of eternity. Please also pray for Helen and Niick and all their family and friends, that they be comforted and helped through this most difficult time and that our Lord will be constantly at their side.
