DESCRIPTION:Led by a group of musicians from St Buryan Church\, this Taiz
é-style service will reflect on healing\, restoration and the sharing of
God’s love in celebration of the Feast of St Luke.\n\nThe Taizé Communi
ty is an ecumenical Christian monastic community in Taizé\, Saône-et-Loi
re\, Burgundy\, France\, which was founded in 1940 by Brother Roger Schüt
z\, and has become one of the world's most important sites of Christian pi
lgrimage\, attracting over 100\,000 young people each year for prayer\, Bi
ble study\, communal work\, and shared reflection. Central to its contemp
lative atmosphere are simple\, meditative chants that support prayer and s
ilence\, but there’s no need to know the music beforehand\; you can join
in as you feel comfortable\, or simply listen and pray.
