Launceston Parish

A very warm welcome to you all, from all of Launceston Parish Churches. Our four churches form the Launceston Parish, working within Trigg Major Deanery, led by our Rural Dean, Reverend Peter Knight.  The four churches of our Parish, Christ the Cornerstone (Tregadillett), St Mary Magdalene, St Stephen the Martyr and St Thomas the Apostle, joined together in 2013 to form one large Parish serving the whole of Launceston town.  Our current staff are:

Rector: Reverend Peter Knight

Priest (St Stephen's): Mother Alison Hardy

Curates:

Reverend Helen Davies

Reverend Nicki Farr

Reader: James Wonnacott

Ordinand: Jess Lancaster

We are also blessed in our Parish to have a large number of licensed Local Worship Leaders, who regularly lead services and Pastoral care.

Please visit our parish website for details of weekday and Sunday services, for church opening times and online worship.

For further information, please email our Parish Office. Our Parish Facebook page also has links to Daily Prayer with the Church of England Common Worship, as well as other helpful resources to keep us worshipping in this unusual time.

If you would like to receive our weekly mailings with prayers, service invitations and notices, please email our Parish Office to be added to the group mailing list. To keep up to date with everything we're doing, please visit our Facebook page.

Safeguarding is important to us

The parish of Launceston is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops' guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Truro’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
