A Message from our Rector

That wonderful passage from 1 Corinthians 13 speaks about love. This year in many differing ways we have all had to learn how to live this out. All of us I think wish things to go back to how they were, to meet people without social distancing and not to have to wear masks or have to keep using the hand sanitizer. From my conversations with people too there is a deep desire too to be able to worship God through singing with everyone. This aspect of Church life has been sadly missed by many.
Unfortunately though the Government is still restricted any inside communal singing within Churches although a soloist or small choir can lead the hymns. These restrictions have been put in place to protect people, especially the vulnerable, from this horrible virus. Even if people are fully vaccinated we still do not know how effective the vaccines are especially from this new Delta variant. Can I please then urge you all to follow the government guidelines which have been put in place to keep people as safe as possible. Many thanks for your co-operation on this and all being well very soon we may be able to sing once again with one another to praise God. On a positive note if you really miss singing hymns then perhaps we could arrange a songs of praise outside one evening. If you are interested then please let me know.
May God bless you, keep you safe and protect you. Sarah

Thought for the week

It is so easy to get caught up with the trappings of wealth in this life. Grant, O Lord, that I may be free from greed and selfishness. Remind me that the best things in life are free. Love, laughter, caring and sharing.
