DESCRIPTION:All Age Outdoor Service at 3pm to celebrate Rogation Sunday in
  the gardens at Home Farm. As we are outside please bring a garden chair o
 r picnic rug.\nRogation comes from Latin\, rogare which means ‘to ask’
 . Traditionally\, the church congregation would walk round the parish boun
 daries. As they walked\, they would ask for God’s blessing on the land a
 nd God’s protection on the growing crops. Today\, alongside locally grow
 n produce\, we are used to round-the-year imports of a vast array of fresh
  food often at the expense of those who have grown it. This year let us re
 member to ask for God’s protection and blessing on farming communities a
 nd their crops not only here at home but around the world.
