Claire was licensed by the Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham and installed by the Archdeacon of Nottingham on Wednesday 4th October at 7pm at St Mary’s, Edwinstowe.

Claire was born and brought up in Nottinghamshire, living and worshipping in Warsop. Claire worked as a teacher in a special needs school in Cotgrave prior to commencing ordination training full time at Cranmer Hall, Durham. Claire returned to Southwell and Nottingham Diocese in 2019 and served her curacy in the Parish of Ravenshead.

On days off Claire enjoys having a cold water swim, immersed in nature in Colwick Lake and does this throughout all weathers and seasons! Claire also enjoys spending time with her brother or with friends whether that's over coffee and cake, playing games, or just chilling and enjoying each other’s company. Claire has a dog, Lola and walking her is another valued pastime, Lola prefers it when there are trees and squirrels involved so I'm sure she'll love Sherwood Forest! Claire is looking forward to becoming Priest in charge of the Churches of Sherwood Forest and seeing what exciting things God has in store for Edwinstowe, Clipstone and Perlethorpe.
