DESCRIPTION:‘One Word\, Many Notes’ is a concert series built around a
beautifully simple idea: that one word can open the door to a whole world
of music.\n\nEach evening takes a single word and brings it to life throu
gh performances by exceptional musicians.\n\nWe can look forward to an eve
ning focussed on friendship through the music of\, amongst others\, Mozart
and a piece composed especially for the group inspired by ‘Lines Writte
n in Early Spring’ by William Wordsworth.\n\nQuattro String Quartet is m
ade up of outstanding musicians\, all of whom are graduates of London's to
p music colleges and who work as professional musicians in London and the
South of England. Their individual experience spans the English Chamber Or
chestra\, the BBC Concert Orchestra\, The London Philharmonic Orchestra an
 d the Welsh National Opera.

DESCRIPTION:Our second concert is bought to us by New Arts Opera\, for an
evening exploring the theme of love.\n\nAs one of the performers\, we are
very lucky to have the outstanding Anglo-Irish soprano Zita Syme\, a Britt
en-Pears Young Artist whose career spans major opera festivals and houses
across Europe. Her many concert appearances have included Haydn’s Nelson
Mass and recitals at St James’s Piccadilly and the National Portrait Ga
llery.\n\nThis evening will be far more than a recital. Through tender due
ts and intimate arias\, we will trace how composers across centuries have
wrestled with love in all its forms: passion and longing\, devotion and lo
 ss\, hope and heartbreak.
