Church of England Diocese of Oxford Caversham Park

About Us

We are a Local Ecumenical Partnership of Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists and United Reformed Church.  We don't have a conventional church building, but we meet every Sunday at 11.00 at Caversham Park Primary School, Queensway, Caversham Park, Caversham, READING RG4 6RP. (Please don't try to contact us there, it only wastes time for the school and us.)

We welcome Christians of any denomination or none. Our services are usually fairly informal, and follow the practices of any of our denominations.

Primary Contact: Dr Alison Johnston, e-mail: [email protected] (0118 947 5152 or 0786 751 3681).

Alternative contact: Revd Derek Chandler, e-mail: [email protected] (011894 8239).

For Anglican purposes we are part of the benefice of St Barnabas, Emmer Green with Caversham Park. The Vicar is the Reverend Derek Chandler. We work closely with St Barnabas and also with Caversham Baptist Church, Caversham Methodist Churches and the United Reform Church - there are links to their websites on the right.

Our sponsoring body is Churches Together in Berkshire.

Our Vision Statement:

We are a Church wanting to be

A community in tune with God, and growing in Him

Channels of God’s love, sharing and providing a base for friendship and care

Encouraging, empowering and supporting the gifts of others by word and deed

Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and His love to the people of Caversham Park, inviting them to join with us in new beginnings in Him

Working with and serving the community.
