DESCRIPTION:Traditionally\, advent calendars are used to count down the da
 ys of Advent in the run up to Christmas and comprise a series of doors or 
 windows to open\, revealing a picture\, small chocolate or little gift for
  each day. The reverse advent calendar turns this trend on its head. Inste
 ad of receiving a gift\, those taking part in a reverse calendar donate an
  item each day. Would you like to join in? Grab a cardboard box and start 
 to fill it!\n\nOnce again we are encouraging people to fill a box this Adv
 ent with the following items: Coffee\; tea\; biscuits\; chocolate\; long l
 ife milk\; cereals\; tinned vegetables\; tinned soup / meat\; pasta / rice
 . Toiletries\; toilet rolls. New men’s / women’s underwear\; gloves an
 d warm hats. These Reverse Advent Calendars will then be used to support 
 ‘Abingdon Area Helping Oxfordshire Homeless’ throughout the year.\n\nT
