News email from the Vicar

8 Oct 2020, 8 p.m.

Dear friends,

I hope you’re well this week. Just a reminder that this Sunday is the APCM. Please feel that you can come even if you normally don’t come on the 3rd week. I anticipate that there will be room. If you can’t make it to the service, then you are able to join on zoom. This year, the service will be a simple service of the word, rather than communion. It will start at 11 and finish around 11:50, and will incorporate the APCM.

We are grateful for Christ Church Upper Armley C o f E School for donating their harvest collect of 5 crates of dry food to Meeting Point and to the parish pantry.

Please pray this week for :

the situation in the nation as it seeks to come to terms with rising infection rates of COVID, and particularly for the NHS as it seeks to accommodate the many who need help as well as all of the ongoing medical care in other areas.

The APCM, giving thanks for ministry in 2019, and particularly for the many who have made a contribution to church life

Meeting Point as it continues to meet the needs of vulnerable refugees.

Local schools: CCUA Primary School, Whingate Primary School and Dixons Unity Academy

Thanks to those who have been praying for Jan who is now home. Please continue to pray for a full recovery.

Beryl has also been admitted to hospital and while improving please pray for her, as well as for Neil at this time.

Give thanks for the food that has been collected from the Church school from Harvest for the church pantry.

I’m continuing to enjoy getting to know you on zoom, on the phone and on a Sunday morning. Thank you for all you do, in many and varied ways to bless the life of Christ Church and the local community.

Blessings,

Phil.
