 The Nicene Creed is said every Sunday and defines fundamental Christian do
 ctrine. The First Council of Nicaea met exactly 1700 years ago from May 
 – July 325. Some of us recently went on pilgrimage to the site of the Co
 uncil and of the seven other Councils held up to 787. The Seven Ecumenical
  Councils of the whole Church formulated the belief of the Church. We stil
 l say the Nicene Creed every Sunday and holy day. \n\nThis illustrated tal
 k by Fr Luke will be a mixture of history\, travellers’ tales from those
  of us who went on the pilgrimage\, teaching about what the creed says\, a
 nd reflection on why it is still important for us. \n\nfree – all welcom
