 o maestoso e vivace\n \nYipeng Xu has been the organ scholar at HM Chapel 
 Royal\, St James’s Palace since September 2024. In this capacity\, he ha
 s played at several high-profile events\, including a recording for Classi
 c FM from Buckingham Palace and at the Royal Maundy service. He first star
 ted learning the organ at City of London School\, where he has been taught
  by Joseph McHardy\, Katy Silverman and Thomas Allery\; he also accompanie
 s the school’s Camerata choir. Yipeng attends the Junior Department at t
 he Guildhall School of Music and Drama\, where he studies piano\, composit
 ion and conducting. He was previously organ scholar at St James’\, New M
 alden\, and will move to Lincoln Cathedral at the start of the next academ
 ic year.
