 yati Duo takes its name from Julian and Rebecca's first collaboration as c
 onductor and cellist in a performance of Tavener's masterpiece 'Svyati' fo
 r solo cello and choir. Sir John Tavener subsequently became the duo's Pat
 ron the following year and remained so until his death in 2013. Rebecca an
 d Julian maintain a diverse and exciting repertoire\, from Baroque sonatas
  through to substantial romantic and contemporary works\, and are committe
 d to performing music that displays the diversity of their wonderful instr
 umental combination. A tireless search for repertoire continues to reward 
 them with unjustly neglected original works\, and their passion for new mu
 sic has led them to commission works from leading composers including Davi
 d Bednall\, Russell Hepplewhite\, Colin Riley\, Iain Farrington and Timoth
 y Salter.\n\nThe Temple Church organ\nThe organ in the Temple church was b
 uilt in 1924 for the Castle of Glen Tanar\, Aberdeenshire\, and installed 
 in 1954 in the rebuilt church (following war damage)\, the gift of Lord Gl
 entanar. The organ case was designed by W. E. Godfrey and installed in 196
 6 and is modelled on drawings of the Temple’s Father Smith organ of 1688
 \, showing the crests of Inner and Middle Temple. The organ was rebuilt in
  2013 by Harrison and Harrison of Durham and has 66 stops over four manual
