Church of England Diocese of Leeds Leeds Saint Aidan

Coronavirus Update 5 November 2020

5 Nov 2020, 5 p.m.

As from 5 November (until 2 December) 2020, the lockdown regulations require churches to be closed for Public Acts of Worship, except for Funerals.

We will resume our Sunday Parish Mass by Zoom from home and will later in November experiment with FaceBook live-streaming from the church building. Links for the Sunday Mass and other parish activities and services are circulated weekly via catch-up email and can be requested from [email protected] or moth[email protected]

Our weekly FoodShare is a recognised exception from the Lockdown restrictions. Volunteers and donations permitting, we are committed to continue this vital service, which reaches a great numbers of the most vulnerable people of our local community each week. It is now well established on Saturdays between 10.30am and 12noon from the St Aidan’s Community Hall. All in need of food are welcome.

Our Archbishops are calling us during this lockdown to a Month of Prayer for our Nation. Please join in every day at 6.00pm, if you can, using the following prayer resources: https://www.churchofengland.org/more/media-centre/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-churches/call-prayer-nation
