Update 25 July 2021
St Aidan’s Parochial Church Council has applied a cautious response to the Lifting of Restrictions of 19 July 2021.
Please read the above document titled ‘PCC Response’ outlining our current position about worshipping at St Aidan’s at the Sunday Mass, for Baptisms and Funerals, including a top limit of 80 worshippers at any of our services.
Please take particular note about a continuation of some physical distancing, the availability of a small unrestricted seating area, singing and our strong recommendation and encouragement to us all to continue wearing face masks/coverings. For reserved seating, please contact [email protected] or 07720 743108.
We are aware that members of our congregation and visitors hold varying opinions in these areas, but please bear with us and bear with each other in love, patience and generosity.
From 2 August, Mother Andi will be on Sabbatical. As part of her study leave, Mother Andi will spend time at the monastery at Mirfield with the Community of the Resurrection. She will visit her Mum in Germany; she has a stack of theological books to read and study; and has lined up conversations and visits exploring a ‘Theology of Transience’. Please pray for her, as she is praying for us.
Our weekly FoodShare continues to reach a great number of the most vulnerable people of our local community each week. Thank you to all donors and volunteers – we could not do it without you! FoodShare runs on Saturdays between 10.30am and 12noon in St Aidan’s Church. All in need of food are welcome.
Please pray for those who need us in order to access food, please pray for our volunteers and supporters - and consider yourself, whether there are ways in which you can support this vital ministry.
If you would like to volunteer or add your details to our email/postal circulation, please let us know by email or phone:

Please be assured that you are held in our love and prayers over these days and weeks to come. Please look after yourselves and keep yourselves and your loved ones safe.
God bless you.
