St Philip's Prayer Wall Launch

Church_news Notices

In the midst of the pandemic, it seems life is throwing us lots of challenges that feel hard to cope with. Data from Google shows that in March 2020, the number of Google searches for "prayer" was the highest ever recorded, and between March and May 2020, there were an additional 10,000 downloads of the Church of England’s "Time to Pray app!

The Bible reminds us to "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Praying continually though can sometimes feel hard to do, even for Christians. This is when asking someone else to pray for you can be so helpful. But what if you don’t want to tell anyone about your particular issue? Or maybe you don’t have a Christian family member, friend or colleague you can ask to pray for you.

This is why we are launching a ‘Prayer Wall’ on the church website. You can submit a prayer by clicking on the pink plus sign on the page. Please be mindful that this is a public page so avoid using people's names unless you have their permission. You can post your prayer anonymously as well so no-one will know it is you who has made the request, although God will know!
