Church of England Diocese of Oxford West Wycombe

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York and senior church leaders have called upon the Church of England to make this month of lockdown a month of prayer for the nation.

On All Saints Day the Archbishops wrote to all the clergy in the Church of England. In this letter they stated their conviction that the first and primary response of the Church at this time was prayer. During the first lockdown we cheered for the NHS every Thursday. During this second lockdown we are invited to pray for our nation each day at 6.00pm especially on Thursdays, for its leaders, its health and essential services and all those who suffer. The letter can be found through the following link

This call is going far and wide – and the hope is that many of our ecumenical partners will join us.

A leaflet has been produced giving suggestions to enable all those who wish to take part. It is attached to this email as a pdf file and also through the following link
