Church of England Diocese of Norwich North Walsham

HRH The Duke of Edinburgh

10 Apr 2021, 4:30 p.m.
The Benefice of North Walsham join together with so many others in giving thanks for a life of tireless service given by His Royal Highness, Prince Philip. This service was widespread and often profound, offered both to our Monarch, this country and towards his deeply felt Christian faith. We pray for our Queen, their children and all who mourn following his death.

St Nicholas' Church will be open from 9.30am-5pm, Saturday, 10th April for quiet prayer and reflection, with an opportunity to light a candle in the Lady Chapel. All coronavirus social distancing must be observed, including the wearing of face coverings, hand sanitising and track and trace forms.

There will be an online service of morning prayer at 9.00am tomorrow, preceded by the tolling of the bell. Sunday's service of Holy Communion will include an act of remembrance and the church will be open for private prayer afterwards until 5pm and during the week from 9.30am-12.30pm.  All are welcome</span>

Due to coronavirus restrictions, there will not be any physical books of condolence, but you can sign and leave a message in the Church of England's online book at: </span>https://www.churchofengland.org/remembering-his-royal-highness-prince-philip

At the request of the Palace, you are encouraged to give a charitable donation instead of a floral tribute, if you so wish.
