DESCRIPTION:On Good Friday we remember the passion and death of Jesus. Jes
 us goes to the cross\, loving his disciples "to the end". On the cross\, J
 esus he the weight of humanity’s sin and evil upon himself and it kills 
 him. \n\nAs we contemplate the fullness of Christ's love \, we are invited
  to respond in love for him. To spend some time in  silence and thought be
 fore the cross.\nIt is a day to bring our own lives and our raw humanity t
 o the cross\, with our sufferings\, doubts\, struggles.  We come in faith 
 that at the cross we find healing and peace\, and mercy and forgiveness fo
 r those ways in which we fall short of God's perfect love. \n\nAnd we brin
 g our prayers for the suffering world to the foot of the cross today\, esp
 ecially remembering the many places of conflict around the world. We bring
  our prayers to the God who in Christ has experienced the worst human agon
 y and injustice and pray for healing.
