After a great deal of thought and exploration of a range of options, the ‘Contact’ magazine committee has reluctantly decided to temporarily cease publication of the parish magazine for the duration of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Although it would still be possible to produce the magazine, which is created electronically, the current government restrictions on people leaving their homes means that we have no efficient way of distributing the copies each month.
The government decision came too late to stop the printing of the April issue, so the copies have been placed in the porches of the two parish churches. Please help yourself to a copy if you pass St Michael & All Angel’s Church in Colwich between 10.00am and 5.00pm or St Stephen’s Church in Great Haywood during your daily exercise (maintaining social distancing, of course). You are also welcome to take copies to pass on to other people (including those who are not subscribers), and especially for those who are unable to leave their homes.
Electronic copies of the April magazine have been widely distributed by email and the magazine is available for anyone to download at https://tinyurl.com/yx7qv3us.
Subscriptions will be adjusted at the end of the year to ensure that no-one has paid for copies they did not receive. We will be writing to advertisers shortly regarding their subscriptions.
In these unique and difficult times, we send our very best wishes to all our readers and advertisers, and we look forward to being back in production at some point later in the year.
Please stay safe, try to keep healthy and, for the time being at least, please stay at home.
