This year’s Lent Course starts on the 25th February via Zoom videoconferencing. There will be two opportunities each week to join in so pick the one that suits you best or mix and match to fit around your other commitments. The two sessions will be on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm and Friday mornings at 11am.
There is no cost to course members in using Zoom but to use it you will need a computer, tablet or smartphone. It will be quicker to join the sessions if you install the Zoom app on your device before the first session. If you normally receive emails from our vicar, Revd Richard Merrick, you will receive the email with the joining information. If not, and you would like to join the course please email the church office at [email protected] and ask to be added.
The course follows the ‘Cover to Cover’ Bible study booklet ‘The Prayers of Jesus’ by Amy Boucher Pye. It is not essential to have a copy of the booklet but if you wish to order a copy for yourself be sure to order the one by Amy Boucher Pye as there is another in the same series of the same name!
The same material is being used as the basis of the Sunday morning sermons during Lent so, if you can, please join the service at 10.30am via YouTube each week to help make the most of the Lent Course.
Please take time out for prayer and reflection during this season of Lent as we prepare for Easter, when, hopefully, we will be able to celebrate together in church.
