 SERVICES:\n26th July BCP Matins at 11-15am\, led by Andy Cooper.\n\nBCP is
  the Book of Common Prayer.\nFirst written in 1549\, and following several
  revisions became the current official Prayer Book of the Church of Englan
 d in 1662.\nIt is used not because because of sentimental or nostalgic mot
 ivations\, but because it agrees with the foundational doctrine of the Chu
 rch of England and is loved for the beauty of its language.\nIts services 
 continue to be widely used as a traditional form of worship.\nIf you are l
 ooking for something more modern\, many of our churches have services base
 d on Common Worship which is in contemporary language.\nFor services in ot
 her churches please click on "Church Services Across Mid-Trent Team" to se
 e our service rotas.\nWe try to make our church services as friendly as po
 ssible. Please don’t worry about getting things ‘wrong’. Even if the
 y notice\, people won’t mind. At Communion services\, everyone is equall
 y welcome\, whether you feel able to share the bread and wine or prefer ju
 st to stay seated for a time of quiet. Finally\, we are interested in you\
 , not what you are wearing - but note that in the winter it can be difficu
 lt to heat our church so you may need to wrap up warm!
