DESCRIPTION:Palm Sunday marks the moment Jesus arrived in Jerusalem shortl
 y before his death. The Bible records describe crowds greeting him waving 
 palm branches and laying them on the road in welcome.\nJesus chose to ride
  into the city on a donkey rather than a horse. Arriving in this way demon
 strated that his way was one of peace and humility - in contrast to leader
 s who choose the way of exercising force and wielding power over others.\n
 Small crosses made of palm leaves are distributed by all the churches in M
 id-Trent on this day.\nThe Palm Cross is kept for the rest of the year as 
 reminder of the courage and love of Jesus as he faced death for our sake.\
 nPalm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week...      the days leading up 
 to the great celebration of Easter\, when Jesus was raised again to the li
 fe that he lives now and for ever.
