Church of England Diocese of Lichfield St. Luke, Tittensor

Bishop to J3

The bishops of Lichfield Diocese are each contributing an online sermon during January. St Luke's used the first in our service in church on 3rd January, showing it on the huge AV screen and via the sound system provided by the legacy of Nancy Long.

The second talk was given by Michael, Bishop of Lichfield. Although St Luke's was closed on Sunday 10th January because of the Covid threat, our sister church St Mary's hosted an online service at which Bishop Michael's talk was used.

The third talk was given by Bishop Sarah of Shrewsbury.  Due to a technical problem, we weren't able to show her talk online in our worship on Sunday 17th January and so Freda Bishop, as worship leader, read it out aloud.

Once again, this is a great opportunity to listen to our bishops as they speak on the issues facing each of us in this New Year, with all its worries and hopes. The bishops are not promoting any political party; their only interest is in interpreting God's love for people and the rest of God's creation.

You may have missed it on Sunday but you can view and listen to Bishop Sarah here.
