Despite our desire to reopen the churches, it is important that this is done slowly and safely, with everyone’s health a priority.
After several conversations we have come up with the following plan:
We are carrying out a risk assessment for reopening Christ Church for worship on 9th August for a 9:15am service.
Following that service, a similar risk assessment, taking on board anything we have learned from our worship at Christ Church, will be made at Holy Trinity. We will then announce plans to reopen Holy Trinity at the earliest possible date.
For these services, communion will be given in one kind only, and there will be no hymns
More announcement about other acts of worship (Morning Prayer, Wednesday Eucharist, etc.) will be coming out in time.
We hope that you appreciate that this all needs to be done gradually and the plan is to eventually return to our normal pattern of worship. If you don’t feel you can come to worship because of your own health worries then please do not feel guilty.
