September History Weekend.

Thank you to those who came along to the church and village history weekend and for the interest shown in our photos and documents. Gayton is a small village but with a church spanning 900 years and buildings several centuries of age there is much to find out. As always, a thank you to Sue and Sophie for delicious cakes and refreshments. A special thank you also to Pat Clare who had her lovely paintings for sale and gave the church half of the total she took that weekend.

The church is very grateful for the much-needed support it received with almost £300 towards the upkeep of the church.

During September, prior to our church Harvest Festival, we had a box at the village hall for donations of groceries for House of Bread. We were delighted with the response and are grateful to all those who gave and we were able to take several bags full to this wonderful charity supporting the homeless and vulnerable in Stafford .
