Moving into the Church Hall

This coming Sunday, the Mass at St Martin's will be celebrated at 9.15am in the church hall, as we plant our congregation into this building. It is out of the church hall that the incredible work of Coats For Kids Wolves | The Lifeboat Project takes place, where we provide for people who are in need of clothes, coats, and food.

Moving into the church hall and being amongst the piles of coats and clothes gives us a reminder that we are all called to the work of mission, and as we are fed with the Sacraments, we go out into the world to live out the Gospel. In the Letter of James, we read, "Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only." We do not merely come to church; we must act on what we have received. Every time we come to receive Communion, we remind ourselves that we are fed with Christ who gives us the strength to care and provide for the needs of our local parish and wider society.

All are most welcome to join us at St Martin's as we embark on an exciting new chapter in the history of our parish church.
