Longdon on Tern S.Bartholomew

St Bartholomew's Church in Longdon on Tern is in one of the twelve parishes in the benefice of Haughmond and Wrekin. Longdon on Tern is a village in rural Shropshire, just north of Telford.

We offer a service in the church on most Sundays. Please check our Services/Events page for timings and occasional date changes. The Shine Youth Café meets at the Village Hall, next to the church on Friday evenings during term times.

We also offer Messy Church, family friendly inter-generational worship, in other parishes in our benefice each Sunday. On the First Sunday in a month this is at High Ercall Village Hall. Rodington is the host church on the second Sunday in the village hall. Ellerdine Village Hall is the location on the third Sunday each month.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Longdon S. Bartholomew is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).

Our Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the parish's PSO, Claire Broderick (01952 770636), the benefice's safeguarding lead, Tom Currie (01952 770258) or the Diocese's Emergency Safeguarding number 0845 120 4550 (During Office Hours call 01543 306030 or 0303 003 111 [select option 2]).

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police (101 [or 999 if an emergency]} and Telford and Wrekin Council's safeguarding service for children and adults (01952 385385).
