Church of England Diocese of Chichester Burwash

St Bartholomew, Burwash

Burwash church warmly welcomes all visitors.  People often come to the church as part of a visit to Bateman's, the famous National Trust property.  We love to see your nice remarks in our visitors' book.

With the pandemic continuing, we still have to be careful, but we are steadily returning to something like normal.  We have coffee together after Sunday service and it's so nice to welcome folk from all over the world.  We have returned to re-opening every day for you to visit, pray and meditate.

We are delighted to have now found a new priest; we can hardly wait to have a Rector again!

Our Safeguarding statement:

The parish of Burwash: St Bartholomew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
