Please click on the link which will take you directly to a short introductory video clip https://www.facebook.com/206152639743215/videos/744824642935070/

Retiring Collection

Urgent appeal: You may remember we have supported previously the work of Jamil Francis and the school he started in Pakistan. Jamil has recently been in touch as the people in the village are really struggling for food; most are on daily wages and there is no work due to Coronavirus closures. We have much to be thankful for here, if you feel able to make a contribution towards food for these families you can do so through the retiring collections after both services on Sunday, and at St Laurence's on Monday. If you are not able to attend a service and wish to give you can send your donation to the parish office by cheque made out to: Goring Parochial Church Council and sent to the Parish Office. 16, Ilex Way, Goring by Sea, Worthing, BN12 4UZ. Please include a covering note indicating what the donation is for.

Your Parish Needs You!

We are still in need of volunteers. Please think and pray about how God is calling you to serve in the Parish, no offer of help is too small. If everybody reading this letter could give at least one more day (a week, fortnightly or a month!) the burden on a few would be lifted enormously.

Church cleaning

We really do need more help and may well have to reduce the number of days we are able to open the church for prayer during the week. We need daily cleaners (30 mins is all that is needed) and fortnightly cleaners for a little longer. If you could offer one day a week, fortnightly or monthly that would help, any offer of help is welcome.

Please let Gill or Janice know if you can help. Gill by email [email protected] or telephone 07715120841. Janice by email: [email protected] or telephone 01903 504384.

Join the Audio Visual team – Are you a budding Cecil B DeMille

We are now live streaming at least one service a week from our churches. We are in the process of developing our technical know-how and equipment to do this, and a new and improved system should be up and running soon. If you would like to help with the filming and other audiovisual (AV) tasks please let Gill Keevill know: [email protected] You do not need to have any experience of working with AV equipment, (although if you do that would be fantastic) just a willingness to learn. Volunteers of all ages are welcome!

Readers, Intercessors

We are very grateful to those who have offered to read the lessons or lead our prayers as we have reopened for worship. Some who have done these things before lockdown may feel unable to do so at the moment. If you are returning, or have already returned, to Church and would like to offer your services, please contact Keith (Reader) by email: [email protected] or telephone 01903 504384.

Sides people are also needed for upcoming services on the 23rd and 30th August at 11.00 a.m. Please contact Janice Lelliott, by email: [email protected] or telephone 01903 504384.

Pastoral visits. Please let Fr. Keith or the Wardens know if you have a personal pastoral concern or may know of somebody in need.

God Bless, Gill, Janice, Ruth and Geoff.
