The APCM postponed from 27th April 2020, will be held in St Mary’s Church at 12.15 p.m. Due to restrictions you will need to register to attend this meeting or you can attend via Zoom. Please register at the Parish Office even if you are already registered for church that morning.

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Will be held in St Mary’s Church Hall this Saturday 10th October 2020 between 10.00 a.m. - 12 noon, and between 2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. Social distancing and restrictions adhered to. Come to enjoy coffee, tea, cake and importantly, company. You may prefer to purchase on a “Take-Away” basis. All proceeds to MacMillan Cancer Relief work. Parish Mission Focus – October to December 2020 – Soup & Ploughman’s Lunch

Please support this event on Saturday 17 October in St Mary’s Church Hall 12.00 noon (to be finalised when we have the numbers as we may have two sittings).

We are strictly meeting all government guidance and regulations 

to provide a safe environment (‘COVID-19 secure venues can still

host larger numbers in total but groups of up to 6 must not mix or

form larger groups’).

To assist with catering, organisation and tracking and tracing

requirements please book a place by Wednesday 14 October

through the Parish Office, giving your phone number and email

address, as we shall have to keep a register. A choice of soup

(leek and potato or tomato and basil [please state preference

when booking] and the ploughman’s is being donated but

donations in aid of this charity will be welcome even if you are

unable to attend.

If you are self-isolating or feel unable to attend at the Hall on Saturday 17th we could deliver soup and ploughman’s to you on Monday morning (19th). If you would prefer this option then please book with either the Parish Office or by contacting Janet Annis ([email protected] or 07788 600794).

Coffee and Danish

After the successful event last month we will again be offering Coffee

and Danish on 18th October between 10.00 and 11.00am. We are strictly

meeting all government guidance and regulations to provide a safe

environment (‘COVID-19 secure venues can still host larger numbers in total

but groups of up to 6 must not mix or form larger groups’) for a time of

fellowship between the 9.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. services.

To assist with organisation and tracking and tracing requirements it is

essential that you book a place through the Parish Office We will look

forward to seeing you there.

There will again be a retiring collection at both Eucharist services for those who were unable to bring Harvest gifts or donations last week for the Diocesan Family Support Work.

New Services in Church and online this month

All Age Worship. Sunday 1st November 2020 at 10.00 a.m. (replacing the 11.00 am Eucharist). St Mary’s. PLEASE NOTE: The earlier service will be at 8am for this week only (not 9am)

The Way In. 18th October 10.00 a.m. A short online service for everyone interested in learning more about what it means to be a Christian.

As you know our new curate Fr. Neill Stannard was ordained priest, last Saturday 3rd October in St. Mary’s Church at 3.00pm by the Bishop of Chichester Unfortunately spaces were significantly restricted but many of you joined the beautiful service live via Facebook. The service is still available to watch on our Facebook page. The cover photo is taken at this event.
