DESCRIPTION:On the first Sunday of Advent we shall hear the Bible's accoun
 ts of the coming of Our Saviour Jesus Christ and we shall all sing well-lo
 ved Advent hymns and carols\, including O Come Emmanuel\, Wake\, O Wake\, 
 Come thou long expected Jesus\, Hills of the North\, and Lo\, he comes.\n\
 nOur church choir\, which benefits from its Choral Scholarship Scheme for 
 young people ages 12 to 18\, will be singing the ancient Advent Antiphons\
 , as well as several Advent anthems old and new: Praetorius' Es is ein Ros
  entsprungen\, Paul Edwards' No Small Wonder\,  and Carter's  A Maiden Mos
 t Gentle.\n\nThis evening will be just the right start to our Advent and C
 hristmas celebrations\, culminating in our Christmas Carol Service on Sund
 ay 21st December and our special services on Christmas Eve and Christmas D
 ay.
