DESCRIPTION:Easter is the most joyful day of the year for Christians. The 
 resurrection has come\, and we have moved from darkness to light. The East
 er Vigil goes through this very process\, as the Church starts in darkness
 \, and it’s empty as we begin the service outside. This is the most glor
 ious service of the church’s year. We light the Easter fire outside\, wh
 ich in turn lights the Paschal Candle. As we process into church\, that li
 ght begins to spread\, and we sing to the candle itself. As the service co
 ntinues\, little by little\, the light returns to the church\, until the l
 ights are switched on\, the organ begins again and we sing Alleluia with g
 reat gusto! In addition we bless the font\, and receive the first Communio
 n of Easter. Afterwards we celebrate with wine and cake!
