We are delighted to announce that, following a full risk assessment, and consultation with the PCC, a decision has been made to recommence a service of Holy Communion from Sunday 23 August at 9.30am.
Due to the continuing circulation of Covid-19 we have had to make changes to allow this to happen. In particular, because we can only have a maximum of 19 in the Church due to social distancing requirements, we have had to introduce a ticketing system. In order to secure your place please email Revd Christine ([email protected]) between Monday - Thursday to request a place. If we are over-subscribed then those who do not get a ticket will be prioritised the following week. This is so we can be fair to everyone.
For the time-being, we are unable to allow the singing of hymns so this will be a said service. Communicants will also only be able to receive the bread, as we are unable to use the shared chalice at the current time.
Please arrive promptly for the service. Unfortunately, if you are late the doors will be closed and you may not be able to enter. Similarly, if you arrive at the Church without a ticket, we may not be able to let you in.
We also request that you wear a face-covering, wash your hands on arrival and follow stewards' instructions.
We sincerely hope that everyone will understand these measures are being implemented in order to keep our community safe. We will be reviewing our services as we move into the autumn and will continue to make changes as Church of England and Government guidance allows.
Finally, we wish to make clear that everyone is welcome at St Richard's. In particular, if you are new to St Richard's and wish to attend our service, please do get in touch. We hope to see you very soon.
