DESCRIPTION:Following their brief appearance at the flower festival last y
 ear\, The Newstead Abbey Singers return to Seagrave with a mixed programme
  of songs\, old and new.  As well as the old Shaker song 'The gift to be s
 imple'\, the programme will include 'My spirit sang all day'\; 'O Danny bo
 y'\; and 'I do like to be beside the seaside'. It will also feature instru
 mental pieces for flute and piano.  Tickets are £10 each and include inte
 rval refreshments\, available from the PCC Secretary via email (use the 'G
 et in touch' link) or on the door.  Proceeds will be in aid of church repa
 irs\, including fixing the North porch.  A test pit was dug in late Januar
 y and we await the engineer’s assessment of what is required!
