Dear Friends,

Welcome to the weekly email bulletin from All Saints, a little earlier in the evening than last week! Firstly I must apologise for the lack of a Youtube service over the last two Sunday mornings. We have been having some technical difficulties but we are now confident that tomorrow morning's communion service will be live streamed on Youtube at 10.45am. Youtube is where you will also find Evensong at 6pm tomorrow and on Tuesdays at 12.15pm you can listen in to a conversation about the scripture passages coming up next Sunday in our weekly Ministers Muse.

To join the Sunday service tomorrow morning on Zoom please contact us for details. Please note the service is being live streamed, however this week only those who have a leading role will be shown on Youtube. When the service has ended the call will stay open for another half an hour for a social catch up. If you have watched the service on Youtube you are welcome to join the call at that stage too.

The order of service for both the morning and evening service are attached to this email. The readings at the morning service are Genesis 21.821, Romans 6.1b-11 and Matthew 10.24-39

PRAYER THROUGH THE WEEK

Our pattern of sharing Morning Prayer seven days a week at 9.00am continues live on Facebook, although you can also catch up with it later in the day. Bob Edge hosts Evening Prayer via Zoom Monday to Friday at 7pm, email [email protected] for details. Revd Mark is having a week's holiday this coming week but when he returns he will continue with leading Communion from the Book of Common Prayer on Wednesdays at 10.00am on Facebook.

CHURCH REOPENING FOR PRIVATE PRAYER

I am pleased to tell you that a small group on behalf of the PCC are working their way through a risk assessment so we can safely make the church building available for people to visit for private prayer from the beginning of July. This afternoon a socially distanced team spent a couple of hours cleaning the church and getting it ready. If you are not in a vulnerable category yourself and would like to help us open the church please drop a line to the office to let us know [email protected]

WANTED! RECIPES!

Recipes are coming in thick and fast for our All Saints Recipe book and it's not too late to contribute your favourite vegetarian or vegan recipe. Our eco group The Wombles will be pleased to hear from you. Whether it’s a superhot chilli or a melt in the mouth muffin let us have you culinary sensations! Please email Emma and Steve on: [email protected]

HERALD ONLINE

We have been looking at ways of taking our monthly newsletter the Herald online for easy distribution during lockdown and looking ahead to becoming an Eco Church also wanting to cut down on printed material. We think we have found a format that might work so are working on a pilot edition for next month. We would love to have news and pictures from across our church and community so please send any contributions to the usual address [email protected]

Perhaps send in a picture of something creative you've been doing during lockdown or share stories of acts of kindness you have experienced over these challenging weeks.

That's all from me this evening, I look forward to worshipping with you tomorrow if not in person then in spirit.

Yours in Christ

Revd Wendy
