During December this year we will be opening the Everyday Faith advent calendar each day on our social media channels. Behind each ‘door’ there will be a simple idea about how to live out your faith in the everyday. It will be full of quick tips for your Everyday Prayer, Everyday Action and Everyday Witness. The ideas are not groundbreaking, but they may prompt you to do something each day which could bring you closer to God, share your faith with those around you and act in loving service of your community and the world. They might be things you could do on that day, or something you could think about doing moving forward. We’d love for you to share your ideas and suggestions too. So check out our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages in the run up to Christmas to open the door and receive an Everyday Faith treat from the calendar.
<div><div>St Peter's has joined the Parish Giving Scheme. This is a new way for those who wish to support the upkeep of the church to give a donation either monthly, quarterly or annually by Direct Debit and it allows you to enhance your gift by having Gift Aid at 25% added to your giving. Like many organisations and charities, our finances were impacted in 2020 due to not being able to fundraise. Although St Peter's building is currently closed, bills still have to be paid, with insurance and utility costs alone totalling £300 per month. St Peter's building may currently be closed but as a 'church' we are still active. Zoom services take place each Sunday (both morning and evening) and there are other social activities via Zoom too if you want to join in for a chat; for further information please contact Rev Gill Pinnington. </div></div><div><div><a href="https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/donors/find-your-parish/bardon-hill-st-peter-coalville/?fbclid=IwAR2bFAg4Sx3SBHmMsiUlElHdOlkIqJQ1FqnkWNan9obd8ptreKf-SaqvZZA">https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/.../bardon-hill-st-peter.../</a></div></div>
