Church of England Diocese of Norwich Ashmanhaugh

No public worship at St Swithin until further notice

27 Dec 2020, 12:15 a.m.

Sadly with the rising number of COVID 19 cases in Norfolk we have decided to suspend public services in our church for the time being.

However, St Swithin will be open every SATURDAY between 10am and 3pm for private prayer and enjoyment of the Christmas decorations.  If you wish to make a donation we are currently collecting for East Anglian Children's Hospices, please leave donations in the wall safe by the door.

The church is small and has only one entrance so if there is someone inside please just wait until they come out

Those visiting any of our churches should clean their hands both on entry and exit with the hand gel provided, and need to continue to observe the current social distancing rules while in church. Visitors should not share a pew with anyone else, other than members of their household or bubble, and should not enter those areas of each church that have been cordoned off as ‘no entry”.

To minimise risk, at the end of any set period when a church is open, it will then be secured and left effectively in quarantine for 72hours before re-opening, at which time the medical advice is that the risk of onward infection has become negligible.
