 ction on Easter Day. Its forty-day length reminds us of the forty days tha
 t Jesus spent in the wilderness\, being tested by Satan.\n\nWe mark the be
 ginning of Lent with this special Eucharist service\, in which we receive 
 the mark of the cross in ash\, an ancient symbol of penitence.\n\nWith mus
