DESCRIPTION:Lent Lectures: Issues of Faith\n\nWednesdays 2.30pm in the Cat
hedral quire and available as a recording afterwards\n\nA weekly series of
talks hosted by the Dean and Canons with a series of speakers helping us
to reflect on issues of the day through the eyes of faith. Each talk will
be followed by the opportunity for questions.\n\nJo Chamberlain is the Nat
ional Environment Officer for the Church of England\, a role she has been
in for the last 6 years. Prior to that\, she worked for Christian Aid\, an
organisation working with those at the forefront of the impacts of climat
e breakdown. The world around us is in trouble\, and people are not taking
care of God’s good creation. Christians are called to love God and to l
ove our neighbour. This talk aims to explore what that means when we look
and see a world confronted by rising global temperatures\, accelerating lo
ss of nature and an expanding problem of plastic waste.
