AdLent Calendars (calendar setting out items to donate to the Foodbank or prayers for each day of Lent) are now in Lingwood and Strumpshaw churches. If you can donate an item please sign up on the relevant date on the calendar and place the item in the usual Foodbank collection box. If you should wish to keep this anonymous, simply place a tick on the calendar for the day of your choice. For the “Prayer” days it would be lovely if everyone could join in with the requested prayers. A copy of the calendar can be emailed to you upon request.
In the meantime we have also heard from the Foodbank with their thanks and a Certificate of Appreciation which reads “Lingwood & Strumpshaw Churches generously support the Norwich Foodbank. As at 20 Feb 2020, you have donated a total of more than 962kg of food; including a Harvest collection totalling over 218kg. Based on the average weight of the food boxes we supply, this would be enough food to feed more than 128 local people, who are in crisis, for 3 days. Thank you very much for your continued support.” – well done everyone!
We have been invited to have a display/stall at the Easter Extravaganza on Easter Monday 13th April and also the summer fete on June 27th - both at Lingwood Village Hall. Heather and David are not able to do either of these dates. Is anyone else able to arrange this so we have a presence at either or both these events? Let Heather or David know by Sunday 22nd March.
