 oncerts series is pleased to welcome the Lyde Quartet to Holy Trinity Chur
 ch for a beautifully varied morning of chamber music. The ensemble — Dav
 id Way and Maddy Thomas on violins\, Mollie Koenigsberger on viola\, and H
 eather Humphreys on cello — brings together four accomplished musicians 
 who share a deep commitment to expressive\, engaging performance.\nTheir p
 rogramme opens with Bach’s Contrapunctus 18 from The Art of Fugue\, a wo
 rk of intricate counterpoint and quiet intensity. This is followed by Moza
 rt’s dramatic Fantasia in F minor\, K.608\, a piece full of bold contras
 ts and striking harmonic colour. The quartet then offers Puccini’s Chrys
 anthemums\, a short\, tender elegy that showcases Puccini’s unmistakable
  melodic voice.\nThe concert concludes with Borodin’s Second String Quar
 tet\, performed complete with all four movements — from the noble Allegr
 o moderato and lively Scherzo to the much loved Nocturne and the spirited 
 final movement.\nJoin us at 11am on Saturday 31st October. Entrance £10 o
 n the door. Come in\, settle with a coffee\, and enjoy an hour of splendid
  music making in the welcoming surroundings of Holy Trinity Church.
