Regular monthly service pattern

OWING TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK, OUR NORMAL SERVICE PATTERN IS SUSPENDED. PLEASE CHECK OUR SERVICES AND EVENTS PAGE FOR OUR CURRENT WORSHIP SCHEDULE.

The normal monthly pattern of services at St Mary's Garsington follows below. You can find specific details for the upcoming Sunday at the "Benefice" website, which covers St Mary's and our partner churches of All Saints, Cuddesdon and St Giles, Horspath. The "Benefice Notes" sheet on paper at the three churches usually gives details looking ahead for a few more Sundays as well.

The first Sunday usually has a Cluster Communion at 10 am, rotating between the three parishes of this benefice: Cuddesdon, Garsington and Horspath. Please check the Benefice website for the location of an upcoming Cluster Communion.

The second Sunday has a 9:30 am Parish Communion 9:30 am here at St Mary's

The third Sunday, Family Time, again at 9:30 am here at St Mary's, is often reverting during the interregnum to Family Communion. (Family Time was an informal time to gather, chat, let children play and be part of the church family, including a short time of worship with songs, readings, prayer and a talk.) The Family Service sometimes moves to a different or more appropriate Sunday, and this is most likely around festivals such Christmas, Mothering Sunday, Easter, Harvest and in the August holidays, so again, do check the Benefice website.

The fourth Sunday has Breakfast Time when we begin informally at 9:30 am here at St Mary's with coffee and croissants, then gather at 10 am. The gathering focusses on a discussion led by a speaker on a topic of interest. Again, see the website for details.

If there is a fifth Sunday, there will be another  Parish Communion at 9:30 am here at St Mary's.
