From the Rector:
As you will know, and in line with government instructions, services in our benefice churches are cancelled until at least Dec 3rd. Please find below the link to our benefice service for Remembrance Sunday recorded the evening before the lockdown.
The Service Order is attached.
Please watch at a time convenient for you. However, if you should wish to view the service on Sunday morning at the traditional time then the 2 minute silence is introduced 9 mins and 18 secs into the video…so do begin at least 10 mins before. Do press pause before you mark the silence on your doorstep. This begins with an Act of Remembrance in which the standard is brought forward by Guider Emily Monelle, the names of the fallen of all four villages are read by Barry Lennon, the wreaths are laid by Master Aircrew Steve Llyod, we mark a two minute silence and Chris Alcock is our bugler. John Wheatley reads Binyon's words, Pastor Pete from the Hook Norton Baptist Church gives the address, Janet Collins leads the prayers and Jonathan Muller is the organist.
Thank you to Barry Lennon for gathering so many together to participate, to Keith Disney for videoing the service and thank you to all participants.
The service is here.
