The Ark, which is the Church’s Hall on the Risborough Road, has been redecorated in the earlier Lockdown period. The hall is looking lovely and we hope the venue will gradually return to use as society opens up again. The venue is suitable not only for our work with the Toddler & Parent Group and our Youth Group but for a variety of Community Support groups and for Committee meetings. As there is a kitchen, the venue is also suitable for private parties and social events. We do hope that in the future the Community will use this facility fully and we look forward to welcoming you all there. Work to the exterior has been held up by lockdowns but should commence shortly. Contact for bookings is through the Ark office or through Revd. Wales – details of contacts as above.

In this extraordinarily difficult time, I send my condolences to those who have suffered bereavement or have been ill. It is also a time of financial hardship for many and stress for most of us. I try in my weekly mailings to point people to the hope we have for the future, point to the belief in the continued love God has for humanity and to send out the message that we hear now before the BBC News – the future is not cancelled. Know that the church prays for you and all the people of Stoke Mandeville. We are proud of the work of so many people who care for others in the community and we are particularly proud of our School which is doing such a wonderful job of keeping the children safe and engaged. May God bless you all in the coming months and I send my Best Wishes to you and hopes that we will all be able to gather together again soon and continue to build up this wonderful Community. Revd.
